Rossi's Birthday

Our day started off with a chorus of "Happy Birthday" to the Birthday boy. Well it was only me singing at 04:30hrs, but Rossi watched with a bemused look on his face.

After breakfast, walks and the usual early morning routine it was off to our morning P.A.T. visit with loads of children. Rossi was in his element as he had many choruses of "Happy Birthday" and treats galore.  Also a present (which he would have to share later when he got home).

By the end of the visit Rossi was content lying on the floor with his belly full and being cuddled by children.

After our visit it was time for a doggy party!!!  Us humans had a few nibbles also, but Rossi had a cake made from raw meat and veg filling, with mashed raw potato for icing and grated carrot and sweetcorn to decorate.  The only

part that wasn't edible was his candle. So after another chorus of "Happy Birthday" it was food time followed by opening presents.

Rossi is very delicate opening presents, but when Daise helps it becomes a confetti party! With all the torn paper and drool, one year I may try my hand at paper-mache.

Thankfully Rossi only has one Birthday a year as we all gained a few pounds that day.

“Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.”
