Beach Days
As my parents retired to North Wales many years ago, it's a great opportunity for my pooches to play on the beach and practice their swimming. The
brochures make the beach look wonderful as it is shot
on a beautiful summers day...
But what they don't show is the reality of the beaches
when the sun isn't out and it's cold and windy. I
usually manage to decide to visit Wales on these
unseasonable days.
We never let the bad weather dampen our enthusiasm though as whether it's sunny or raining, the sea still makes the pooches wet.
The pooches adore the warm sea and sand. There's nothing better than leaping through the waves as they come upon shore. Seaweed is also a favourite of theirs. They adore this natural goodness, even if it looks disgusting to me.
On Daise's first encouter with the winter sea, she thought that she was King Canute and could command the tide to not come in any further. As you can see below, the minute the cold sea
touched her belly, she managed to get herself out of there pretty quickly, leaving Rossi to look in disbelief at how silly his little sister was.
It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.
